Nicole Wolverton – Author Project

I’ve known Nicole Wolverton for many years – we both started our personal blogging journey back with Movable Type was the hot Content Management Platform. I’ve worked on some of her previous projects (Pretty as an Airport, Nicole Wolverton for Aldan Mayor) and when the opportunity came up to redesign her author platform, Nicole Wolverton – Author, we came up with a solution that not only refreshed her brand overall, but also allowed the opportunity to grow and scale as she adds more books and short stories to her back-list.

Project

Author D.S. Duffy is the pen name of designer Dan Saffer. He’s written several books on design and now that he’s working on new historical fiction novel, Independence, he wanted to have a solid online presence to not only share his progress on this interesting historical novel, but also to set himself up for the ability to contact and be contacted by agents. While the site is currently a single page as he establishes his author brand and online presence, I built the site in a way that he can grow his content as his backlist grows as well.

Bright Skies Travel Website Project

Amy Fariss decided after years as a professional chef that she wanted to take the leap into organizing and helping others plan their vacations and travel. She contacted me to help put together her branding and website, and I was happy to help! Bright Skies Travel was a fun project to work on, taking her initial logo ideas and polishing it to a full branding package, and creating a site that I think she’ll be able to grow and scale her new business successfully, keeping a little sense of the fantastical while making people’s lives a little brighter.

I’ve known Kathy Howe for years virtually – we were both active in the blogging community for many years. Kathy has this amazing ability to find just the perfect solution to so many problems and wanted to share that experience with the larger community out here on the internet by building Everbetter Ideas. We worked together to take her from a simple blog on WordPress.com to a community site where she’ll be providing resources and consulting opportunities to make things better for everyone.

Amber is super easy to work with. She is patient, flexible and did a great job of gently nudging me when I was slow to respond to her inquiries along the way. She is a great designer, developer and project manager!

I had done some work previously for Callie Burnette’s website, Calliespondence. When it finally came to doing a website redesign, she asked me to not only redesign her site, but also integrate a full e-commerce solution so she could move her custom stationary business off of Etsy and onto her own domain. After a few iterations, we found the perfect mix of clean and simple to highlight her products.
