I’ve been volunteering at Dragon Con for over a decade – and while I’ve worked on many different tracks, my heart has been with the Dragon Con Filk Music Track for the last 10 years. I’m in charge of all things web-related, so I’ve been handling all of the site content and social media content for this whole time. The latest iteration (2018) of the track’s brand is what I’ve highlighted here, using illustrations by George Kovats to help our brand that we’ve developed throughout the years.

Nicole Wolverton contacted me about setting up branding and site for her new Travel Blog, Pretty As An Airport. The title of the blog comes from one of both mine and her favorite Douglas Adams quotes, “It can hardly be a coincidence that no language on Earth has ever produced the expression ‘As pretty as an airport.’” from the Long Dark Teatime of the Soul.

While I’ve been a designer and developer for over 15 years, a few years ago I decided for my “day” job to move to the business side. I happened to find a great role as a Product Manager for a live video product in June 2014. Being a developer first, though, I was concerned about the learning curve and everything I came across online could be summed up with “it’s a hard transition” without any real information, so my Developer to Product Manager blog was born.
